Halloween: The Game
Which Escape Should You Use?
Answer a few questions about your current situation to get an explainable next move — not a wall of wiki text.
How the Escape Decision Tool Works
You answer five quick questions: which escape locations you've discovered, which useful items you're carrying, your current progress, Michael's observed situation, and your team status.
The tool then checks your answers against documented escape requirements using deterministic rules. It distinguishes three states for every fact: known yes, known no, and unknown. Unknown is preserved as unknown — the tool never assumes “not sure” means “no”, and it never recommends a route it cannot verify from your inputs.
The tool does not read live game data, track Michael's position, or claim a success percentage. What you get is an explainable recommendation: which rules fired, what is missing, and what to do next.
Verified Escape Facts
Storm Cellar
VERIFIED · PATCH 1.0.2- Cellar hatch entrance; opened with an Escape Key or Bolt Cutters.
- Open time varies with match state — the tool makes no fixed-duration claims.
Requirements: Escape Key or Bolt Cutters
Sedan
VERIFIED · PATCH 1.0.2- With all three items the sedan can reach a Ready state.
- Ready is a state, not a permanent unlock — in-match conditions can regress; re-confirm before committing.
Requirements: Repair Kit + Gas Can + Sedan Keys
Outer Gate
VERIFIED · PATCH 1.0.2- Requires a Fuse to restore power, plus an Escape Key or Bolt Cutters for the gate.
- Current gate state varies per match — the tool never assumes identical in-match states.
Requirements: Fuse · Escape Key or Bolt Cutters
Police Wagon
LIMITED EVIDENCE · PATCH 1.0.2- Conditional chain: telephone available → police call progress → police response → wagon arrival.
- No hardcoded call counts, exact times, or fixed spawn locations (PRD §15).
Requirements: Available telephone (chain entry)
Police Car
LIMITED EVIDENCE · PATCH 1.0.2- Conditional escape route; not treated as the default best route (PRD §15).
- Appearance is strongly match-state dependent; evidence is limited.
Requirements: Escape Key or Bolt Cutters
Why Escape Plans Change
A route that was viable last match may not be viable now. Escape plans change because requirements differ by route, in-match states are temporary (a repaired vehicle can be disabled again), your information is incomplete, and patches change mechanics.
That's why this tool asks about your current situation instead of showing a static tier list — and why every fact carries a patch version and a verification date.
